HOW TO MAKE A CHOCOLATE CAKE
Here’s a recipe for a basic chocolate cake:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch (23cm) round cake pans.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and place them on wire racks to cool completely.
You can frost the cake with your favorite frosting or decorate it as desired. Enjoy your homemade chocolate cake!
